With great sadness and sorrow, The Belgian Organization for Human Rights and Development lost a pioneer in community-based activities for human rights field and a leader in the (Generation Organization for Human Development) collaborating as an ally with us; professor :Saleh Hussein Attia, who worked for humanity, specifically with people with special needs.

Saleh Hussein Attia was one of the elite Iraqi intelligentsia, and he had worked as a teacher and translator in German and English. Besides, he was carrying humanitarian concerns of the tormented wherever found in the world. He has been kidnapped and besieged by the terrorist organization Daesh because of his societal activities as well as his refusal to cooperate with Daesh. Yesterday, in his trial to escape the siege, one of mines, put by Daesh on the outskirts of the way, exploded and killed professor (Saleh Hussein Attia) at the age of 40 years, with his son, aged 14 years old.

Belgian Organization for Human Rights will remain faithful to the dear friend and his family, and we will continue human rights work whatever the cost is and we will stay loyal to the deceased.
